PSP news update (JAPAN STRIKES BACK!!!)

Okaaaaaay...so there's been a lot of news a'buzzing about the release of the new PSP slim (not the official name by the way, it's officially known as the "redesigned PSP") in the USA. Now, dare we ask, "Wait...what about Japan?" Good question! Japan is only like, um, like, the mothership of Sony technology!!! Helloooooo!!! Did we really think all the goodies were exclusive to the folks on the other side of the pacific? HELL NO!!!

So what is the "Japan exclusive" PSP slim release? It's a freaking SPECIAL EDITION FINAL FANTASY: CRISIS CORE PSP slim pack!!! Dayum! The pack includes a silver PlayStation Portable adorned with a Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII logo and an image of Zack and Cloud at the back. The PSP included in the Crisis Core bundle will be one of the slim model PSPs. The limited edition PSP unit will also come bundled with an exclusive Buster Sword strap and a copy of the game. To add insult to injury, the UMD game that comes with the pack is encased with special cover art exclusive to this package!!!
The Crisis Core bundle will be in Japanese retail stores on September 13 with a price tag of 25,890 yen (US 212). Only 77,777 of these babies will be produced and, judging by the franchise's popularity, it looks like they'll be selling quite fast.
